Tuesday nights with Amanda

Tonight, as usual for Tuesday nights, Amanda came over!

Last week we had a very strange week, where we basically just sat at my kitchen table for 4 hours staring at each other and nodding off. We were soooo incredibly tired.

This week we decided to make sure to make up for last week's suckiness.

We started out by going to the mall! Amanda, brave girl she is, spontaneously decided to get her cartilage pierced. I felt like such a tramp going into the tattoo/body piercing shop while being 7 months pregnant. Everyone looked at me a bit odd. Thank-goodness we weren't in there for me! ;-)

The guy who pierced her ear was really weird and I didn't like him. I think I mainly didn't like him because he wouldn't let me take pictures or video tape Amanda's piercing.

I was very impressed when Amanda didn't even flinch during her piercing. Mr. Know-it-all piercer guy said, "Oh ya, like when people can't see the needle it doesn't hurt." Well Mr. Know-it-all is either really wrong or also a bad liar. She felt it. She just didn't show it. Her ear was bright red for the rest of the evening, and every time she went to readjust her glasses, she'd flinch in pain from the glasses bumping the back of her earring post. She nearly cried this evening when she realized she had to go home and bathe. "How am I supposed to wash my hair while my ear is on fire?" She moaned.

However, it was fun for me. :) Next week maybe she'll do her lip!

After she got her ear done, we browsed the mall for a while looking at cute shoes and adorable hair bows. I need to find a coupon code for Claires/Icings, because I saw a lot of pretty hair stuff that I think I *need.*

We left the mall and headed to In-&-Out burger. I had already eaten, so I just munched on a few of her fries while she ate. Then we headed back to Ceres.

Of course, we made our usual Baskin Robin's stop, where like usual, I forget what my favorite flavors are and I spent 20 minutes reading each flavor and description.

Just so I don't forget for next week: my favorite flavors are...New York Cheesecake, Cookies and Cream and Quarter Back Crunch.

Mmmmm!!!

As we ate our ice cream, we played our weekly round of Chinese Checkers. Amanda won. I'm losing my touch.

then, foolishly, we decided to start talking about weight and exercises and diets. That is an immediate food-mood killer. We both felt like fat blobs eating ice cream.

Needless to say, I will be staying up and extra 30 minutes tonight to do some Ttap. :-(

When she left...I came to the computer to blog. And so...here I am.

Hello :)
...
Goodbye!

It's Ttap time!
