Today's acomplishments

Today was a beautiful way to start the month of February off!! The sun was shining, and it was nice and warm. I've been wanting to pull the weeds in my front yard for weeks now, but the dreary fog has kept me from leaving the comforting warmth of my house. Today however, the beautiful sunshine was just begging for me to go outside and soak it in.

Jeff and I decided to take advantage of the glorious weather. While Jeff gave Maycie a bath, I started pulling the weeds. (Notice I said "started?" I promised I was going to help, but after about 20 minutes I was pooped! I ended up just laying on the grass soaking in the beautiful sunrays while Jeff pulled weeds for me. Isn't he so sweet?!)

This is a before picture:
(this is what the whole strip looked like--as you can tell from the above photo!)

And this is the after picture:
(I forgot to take an after picture of the whole flower bed, but this picture should be enough to tell it's a big difference!)

After we were done outside, I was feeling especially good--having spent two hours lying on the earth soaking in it's delightful minerals and bathing in vitamin D--that I decided to clean our bathroom. Notice I'm not posting pictures of the bathroom? That's because I don't want to admit what kind of state it was in before I cleaned it. :-/ Let's just say...it was bad.

Cleaning the bathroom was a bad idea. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I've known this fact forever, since I have 3 brothers, but since I've been married and been cleaning our bathroom myself (not sharing the job with other siblings) I've become even more aware of the fact:

Boys are disgusting.

It's as simple as that. They are nasty little creatures.

I'm not going to detail why, as I'm sure any ladies with brothers, mom's of boys or wives can guess most of the reasons they are so nasty.

But I will say this: Jeff is now on bathroom duty for the rest of his life. And I'm training my little boys to sit when they pee.

P.S. this outburst may have something to do with pregnancy, I don't remember getting so fussy cleaning the bathroom before I was pregnant. Somehow, once you see those two little pink lines and these wonderful pregnancy hormones kick in, much of life that didn't use to bug you, now annoys the snot out of you. It'll never make much sense to me how that works...
