homemade bath goodies

The purpose of this post, is for me to spend a few minutes bragging on my mom's amazing bath kit making skills.

For Christmas this year, one of the gifts all of us girls got was a basket full of homemade bath goodies. In these baskets is a jar of bath salts, two bars of soap (peppermint and lavender), peppermint foot scrub, body butter (in my case I got belly butter) and healing salve (a really heavy duty lotion).

The belly butter is "Clementine Cupcake" scented and it's like torture to use! It seriously smells like a cupcake...I want to eat it every time I use it!

I love peppermint foot scrub, but am having a love/hate relationship with this batch. For some reason, I keep forgetting: use the foot scrub first THEN shave. :-(

The bars of soap are not only beautiful to look at, but sooo fun to use! For instance, the peppermint bar has jojoba beads in it. Jojoba beads are awesome for exfoliating, and feel super good rubbed on my feet or my arms. (plus with peppermint, you get out of the tub feeling all tingly and clean!) The peppermint bar is made out of a goat's milk base, so it's very moisturizing. You can't really tell from the photo, but the lavender bar of soap has a layer of lavender seeds in it. (One side is the cute hearts, the other side is the seeds) The lavender bar is made with a olive oil base, which is easy on the skin and very moisturizing. The hearts and the seeds are good "massagers" and exfoliates. The lavender bar is relaxing.

I hear my bathtub calling me now...time for a nice hot and relaxing bath!
