Tonight I painted Shylie's fingernails. She was so cute and sat perfectly still while I brushed each tiny nail. She watched in fascination, and then insisted on helping blow them dry...which in her case, she was actually spraying them down with her spit! After I told her they were dry, she walked around the rest of the evening holding her hands out and showing off to her siblings the light pink sparkles on her finger tips. When she showed Mama, I received the evil eye. Apparently only her toe nails have been painted up until tonight. :-} How was I supposed to know? Thankfully I picked a nice light pink color, so I didn't get busted too badly!
Normally I'm not a nail polish snob, I like to buy the cheap .99 cent stuff...and only when it is on sale! But I came across this nail polish color today online, and I'm thinking I might have to buy it. It's O.P.I, so i'm sure it's not cheap, but it might just be worth it. Isn't it pretty?? I'm sure Shylie girl would go goo-goo over this color!
If I have a little girl, I'm definitely going to be painting her little nails! However, I'll probably be like my mom and only paint her toe nails til she's 4 or 5, which even then will be light and feminine colors. I can't wait!!! :)
